Fio Health

Dubai is one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities — yet accessing confidential sexual health care has always been harder than it should be. Our founders experienced this firsthand: the anxiety of not knowing where to go, the fear of being judged, the confusion about what tests to get.

So in 2025, they built the platform they wished existed. A place where anyone can book a test without a referral, and receive results with clarity — not shame.

Common questions

Yes. STD testing is legal at licensed medical facilities in Dubai. Your samples are analysed by our DHA-licensed, CAP-accredited partner laboratory, and your results are issued directly to you by them. Fio Health handles the booking and payment only. Results are strictly private.
No referral needed. Book directly through our website or by phone. Simply choose your package and attend your appointment — our team guides you through everything.
Each STI has a different window period. HIV 4th Gen is accurate from 18 days. Chlamydia/gonorrhea NAAT is reliable from 7 days. Syphilis may take 3–6 weeks. Our team will advise you during your consultation.
If you pay privately, your results do not appear on any insurance record. Payment is taken online by card or Tabby instalments, and your statement shows only a neutral company name — never the test you booked.
A positive result is the beginning of treatment. A clinician from our DHA-licensed laboratory partner contacts you privately and directly to discuss what it means, next steps, treatment and referrals. Most STIs are curable. You won't navigate this alone.
Your results are issued and sent to you directly by our CAP-accredited, DHA-licensed laboratory partner. Fio Health never receives, stores, or has access to your medical results — by design. Nothing we send you names the test you booked.
Most visits take 15–20 minutes in total. The blood draw itself takes under 5 minutes. No waiting rooms shared with other patients — you're seen in a private room from the moment you arrive.
The recommendation comes from a doctor at our CAP-accredited, DHA-licensed laboratory partner, who carries out the testing and issues your results. They consider its 32-pathogen coverage the most clinically useful panel for most people. Fio Health handles your booking and payment only — we do not provide clinical advice, and all clinical care comes from our licensed laboratory partner.
No fasting is required for STD blood tests. You can eat and drink normally before your appointment. Just stay well hydrated — it makes the blood draw quicker and more comfortable.
All major credit and debit cards, plus Tabby instalments on packages from AED 449. Payment is taken online when you book, so there is nothing to pay on the day. Your statement shows a neutral company name with no medical description.

Fio Health is an online health screening marketplace owned and operated by Fio Technology FZE, registered in the United Arab Emirates. We connect individuals with DHA-accredited laboratory partners for private health testing. We are not a clinic, medical facility, or healthcare provider. We do not employ clinicians, collect samples, process tests, or handle medical results.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you provide when submitting an enquiry or booking request via our website. This includes your name, email address, and phone number. We do not collect or store payment information — all payments are handled by our third-party payment providers. We do not collect, receive, view, or store your medical test results or any health data — these are managed entirely by our DHA-accredited laboratory partner and delivered directly to you.

3. How we use your information

Your contact information is used solely to confirm your booking, connect you with our laboratory partner, and respond to your enquiries. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party other than our DHA-accredited laboratory partner, who requires it to process your test booking.

4. Medical results — important notice

Fio Health does not receive, access, handle, or store your test results at any point. Your results are communicated directly to you by our DHA-accredited laboratory partner. Any questions regarding your results, their interpretation, or your medical records should be directed to the laboratory or a qualified healthcare professional.

5. Data storage

Booking enquiries submitted through our website are stored securely in an encrypted environment. We retain this data only for as long as necessary to fulfil your booking and comply with UAE legal obligations. You may request deletion of your contact data at any time by emailing wecare@fiohealth.ae.

6. Cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. This involves placing a cookie on your device. No personally identifiable information is collected via cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

7. Your rights

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (Personal Data Protection Law), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data held by us. 1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using fiohealth.ae, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Nature of our service

Fio Health, operated by Fio Technology FZE, is an online marketplace and booking platform. We facilitate access to private health screening tests offered by our DHA-accredited laboratory partner. We are not a clinic, hospital, or medical provider. We do not employ clinicians, perform sample collection, process laboratory tests, or deliver medical results. All testing, sample handling, and result delivery is performed exclusively by our laboratory partner operating under DHA licensure.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use our services. By submitting a booking, you confirm you are providing accurate information and are booking on your own behalf or with legal authority to do so for another person.

4. Booking and appointments

When you submit a booking through our platform, we connect you with our laboratory partner who will contact you to confirm your appointment, collect your sample, process your test, and deliver your results directly to you. Fio Health acts as the booking intermediary only and has no involvement in the clinical process.

5. Cancellations

Bookings may be cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a fee. No-shows without notice will forfeit any deposit paid. Cancellation requests should be submitted to wecare@fiohealth.ae.

6. Medical disclaimer

Fio Health does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. Information on our website is for general informational purposes only. Test results are delivered by and are the sole responsibility of our DHA-accredited laboratory partner. A negative result does not guarantee the absence of infection — results should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional. Fio Health has no access to and bears no responsibility for the content or interpretation of your results.

7. Limitation of liability

Fio Technology FZE's liability is limited to its role as a booking platform. We are not liable for any outcomes relating to test results, laboratory errors, or clinical decisions. Our maximum liability in respect of any booking shall not exceed the booking fee paid to us. All liability relating to the testing process, sample handling, and results rests with our laboratory partner.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

9. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Refund Policy

1. Our role

Fio Health is a booking platform. When you pay through our website, you are paying a booking fee to secure your test appointment with our DHA-accredited laboratory partner. This policy covers refunds of that booking fee only. Fio Health does not handle or process laboratory tests and has no control over the clinical aspects of your appointment.

2. Full refunds

You are entitled to a full refund of your booking fee if:

  • You cancel your appointment more than 24 hours before the scheduled time.
  • Your appointment is cancelled by Fio Health or our laboratory partner for any reason.
  • A laboratory error during sample collection requires you to return for a re-test at no fault of your own.

3. Partial refunds

A 50% refund of the booking fee may be issued at our discretion if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time.

4. No refunds

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Your sample has been collected and sent to the laboratory for processing.
  • You did not attend your appointment without prior notice (no-show).
  • Your test returns a positive result — a positive result is a valid diagnostic outcome, not a service failure.
  • An inadequate sample was provided by you that could not be processed (e.g. insufficient urine volume).

5. Results disputes

Fio Health does not receive, view, or have any access to your test results. Any concerns about the accuracy of your results must be raised directly with our laboratory partner, who operates under DHA regulation and is solely responsible for all clinical outcomes.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us within 7 days of your appointment at wecare@fiohealth.ae or via WhatsApp at +971 50 384 7270. Please include your name, appointment date, and reason for the request. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
